Welcome to the Diverse Abilities classroom. Students in our classroom have a range of “ability” levels. Currently, we are a combination primary and high school classroom with ages ranging from 9-20. Our focus is on developing and maintaining attending skills, self-help skills, fine motor skills, functional academics, social skills, and language/communication skills/abilities. Our class motto is, “being nonverbal is not the same as having ‘nothing’ to say.”

Since August 2000, I have been blessed to work with Scott Center students and wonderful assistants. Every day is a new and unique experience.
