Lady Charger Basketball

“ONE TEAM ONE GOAL!” That’s the motto for the Lady Chargers, as the 2011-2012 season gets underway! The Lady Chargers completed last year’s season with a 24 – 4 overall record, an undefeated record in division play during regular season, second in Division 5A Tournament, and advanced to the second round of the North Half Division 5A Tournament. The Lady Chargers will be returning seven seniors (Erika Sisk, Kristen Dickerson, LaMesha Gilliom, Tyra Lewis, Moneika Pegues, Kayla Wells, and Ivory Alexander), five juniors (Amber Sisk, Alexus Malone, Jasmine Patton, Jasmine Thompson, and Tierra Certion), and two sophomores: Alyushia Booker and Chynna Knight. Coach Shayne Linzy and Stacy Malone will be relying on the experience of their team and the leadership of guard play, along with the strength and size of their post play, to lead the Lady Chargers to another successful season and the pursuit of a State Championship.
