The Oxford High School Baseball Program has a great history. The Charger Baseball team collected four 4A district titles in the nineties and added the fourth title this decade by winning the district title in 2009. In 2011, the Chargers added its first 5A district title. The Oxford Baseball program also won its first state championship in 2005 after losing in its only other trip to the state finals in 1993. Last season, the Chargers fell one game short of another state championship appearance after losing to Ridgeland in Game Three of the North-Half finals. Looking to build upon the success of the 2011 Charger Baseball team, the 2012 team will be led by a senior class of four members. The 2012 Chargers hope to continue the great tradition of the Oxford High School Baseball program.
